Are all 75 rings actual different rings? (Subnets, broadcast domains, SRB
rings...whatever?) Or are you looking at a smaller number of rings but it
looks like 75 once you consider the CRFs?

Anyways, we have a client with over 40 rings/interfaces on their RSM and
it works great. I would suggest not putting a whole lot more than that if
they are a busy network as the backplane in the switch could become
over-subscribed. Might be a good area for looking at
core/distribution/access design.

Just my .02 worth.

Yes, some people still use token ring. Hypothetically, I have a building
with say...75 rings. I need to implement VLANS. Has anyone ever seen a
"per
RSM" limit on the number of VLANs that can be implemented. I can't find
anything on CCO. I've put a question into the TAC forum but have not
received a reply. If anyone knows and has a url or something to back it up
please reply offline
