1600 new flash card

I recently got a new flash card for my 1604 to upgrade it to 8MB, but I'm
having an impossible time getting an image onto the card. Every time I try
to copy tftp flash I get "%Error: No PCMCIA flash chip information
available." The best idea I can get off CCO is to use the "format flash"
command, which isn't available on my router. Anybody have any ideas? So far
I've tried changing the config-register setting from 0x2102 to 0x2101 to
0x41, etc.; I've also tried "erase flash," which *seems* to work, but upon
"show flash" or "show version" (see below) I still get the error.

All help will be appreciated.
