I wouldn't want to work for a company with that narrow minded attitude.
Actually, there are too many options for a CCIE that they don't need to
justify themselves
to companies/headhunters such as that anyway.They simply can sort through
the riff-raff.
Pursue it regardless of the critics - it can only ever be a good thing.

Thats totally bogus though. You could work with Cisco routers 6+ years
and just now decide to get your CCIE.
