Mohammad,

I will disagree with you. I think burst size is per interval. say 16000/8 =
2000

Subject: Traffic shapping question

guys ;
i have a question about the traffic-shape rate /traffic-shape group command
used on the serial interfaces
the command syntax is

traffic-shape group list access-rate . burst-rate excess-burst

does anyone know if the burst rate is the max bit rate which can the link
get or it is the increment value over the bit rate

for example :
if the requirement is to have min bw 16000k for certain traffic and 32000 as
the max
so the command should be
traffic-shape rate 16000 32000 32000
OR
it should be
traffic-shape rate 16000 16000 16000

??

thx
