I think the decision to use one or the other depends on the
circumstances of the router and/or the question. The key difference is
that say you had a second token ring on the same router. If you use a
filter right on the ring interface itself, ring #2 on the same router no
longer can reach that resource. If you use the dmac-output-list, then
the filter only applies to the DLSw+ peers.
So I guess which one to use depends on the desired outcome...
