DLSW or access-expression?

Here's a DLSw+ scenario..

Should I use an access-expression on a token ring
interface to keep remote mac-addresses (by filtering
the source mac address) from accessing this ring, or
should I use a DMAC-output-list on the same router
specifying an access-list denying the specific mac
addresses.

Any ideas as to which will work (I think both will).
