What needs to happen is to have an option to coordinate with the person your
trading with online -- so that you're assured you're date won't get taken
while you're trading.

Someone else has already posted something similar, but with all the traffic,
it is worth posting more than once.

This is from Melody @ RTP, just now:

"You can swap your lab dates using the new system. However, the only way to
do a date swap with the new system is to have one person drop their date
first so the second person can schedule it. Then the first person can take
the opening left where the second person was scheduled. At the time you are
doing this any number of people could be on line at the same time and could
book the date out from under you so you'll need to coordinate this with the
person you're swapping with.

One of the benefits of this new system is that cancellations on the calendar
are visible to everyone and can be booked on a first come, first serve
basis."
