Hello Lange,
If you need to set-up autoinstall, you have simple config the
following:
1) ip helper-address pointed to the way where TFTP server is located
2) reserve one (or more ip addresses) for new installed routers
3) if these routers will be appeared from Frame Relay cloud, you need
to put frame map statements for ip address(es) from 2)
It's very simple!
LG> Hello,
LG> I tried to make some test with the Cisco feature "Autoinstall".
LG> My configuration is this:
LG> hostname r1
LG> !
LG> service udp-small-servers
LG> !
LG> interface Ethernet0
LG> ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.0
LG> !
LG> interface Serial1
LG> ip address 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0
LG> ip helper-address 192.168.2.1
LG> !
LG> tftp-server flash:network-confg
LG> File "network-confg":
LG> =====================
LG> ip host r19 192.168.2.2
LG> ip host r17 192.168.1.17
LG> Only the SLARP is functioning between r1 and r19 (192.168.2.2/24).
LG> But r19 don't receives the minimum configuration, that containes the
LG> files "network-confg".
LG> In the new router there is nothing, only the IP-Address on Serial0.
LG> Something is missing here, but I can't see it.
LG> Ciao,
LG> Gerhard
