Tariq: Good idea to test connectivity. Create an internal network, say,
11, and ping ipx 11.0.0.1. Example below:
Router 3 internal net 3F, router 4 internal net AA4.
r4:
No default route known.
L AA4 is the internal network
C 41 (NOVELL-ETHER), Et0
R 3F [02/01] via 41.0050.547c.a900, 27s, Et0
r4#ping ipx 3f.0.0.1
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte IPXcisco Echoes to 3F.0000.0000.0001, timeout is 2
seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 4/4/4 ms

r3#ping ipx aa4.0.0.1
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte IPXcisco Echoes to AA4.0000.0000.0001, timeout is 2

Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/3/4 ms
r3#sh ipx rou
Codes: C - Connected primary network, c - Connected secondary network
S - Static, F - Floating static, L - Local (internal), W - IPXWAN
R - RIP, E - EIGRP, N - NLSP, X - External, A - Aggregate
s - seconds, u - uses, U - Per-user static
3 Total IPX routes. Up to 1 parallel paths and 16 hops allowed.
No default route known.
L 3F is the internal network
C 41 (NOVELL-ETHER), Fa0/0
R AA4 [02/01] via 41.0010.7b3c.3cbf, 40s, Fa0/0
