I tried same config on a sub interface. That was fine. So, I think the issue
is to do with " ip ospf network point-to-multipoint" being on the pysical
in??

Did you try with a different IOS also ? replace ospf with EIGRP ..see if the
issue persists..then try a higher rev ...I don't know if i saw this on 12.07

I've got couple ATM routers configured with Classical IP. I'm running OSPF
over the ATM & ethernet interfaces. The issue/question is: OSPF routes do
not stay permanently in the routing table. They appear & disappear. Is this
anything to do with SVC being established & cleared? Please see the configs:
