Folks,

I must have missed something...what is the coupler for? I mean, if it is a
straight-through coupler, then why would it be essential? If it is not a
straight-through coupler, then that might seem to indicate that Andrew is
right or partially right. Or are you talking about an rj-45 to db-9 or rj-45
to db-25 adapter?

Maybe we could look for some proof on CCO instead of just trying to speak
from experience. I only looked for a minute or two, but I found this on CCO:

Mike, I think this article may help. This doc shows the pinouts for all of
the console connections, so this should give you enough info to do what
you're trying to do.

I suggest that in the future, if one tells someone else on the list that
he/she is wrong, maybe one should provide some documentation. Seems like
there has been a lot of "you're wrong," "No, you're wrong" messages on the
list lately. I mean, that whole 16MB flash debate from a week or so ago was
a little our of hand and could've been solved more quickly by more
documentation and less "you're wrong" messages ;)
