To use the Aux port you need modems, you use the rollover cable and the
modem adapters, the you configured line aux 0 with the speed, flow control,
etc.

If you want to get routing information across the link use the async default
route command. OSPF will treat the aux interface as passive.

Other than that it works great. I was and am short a serial interface. I
used the aux port and it worked great.
