Hi, Group:
I passed the lab yesterday in San Jose and became CCIE #7219. This is my
first try and I am so happy that I made it. Things that helped me pass
are:
(1). The ECP1 training class from Mentor Technologies: Simply the best. I
could not make the troubleshooting without taking ECP1. Val is the best
instructor I have ever had.
(2). CCBootcamp: I bought the scenarios in Feburary and reserverd three
days using Marc's remote rack. It helped me build the confidence and got a
very good idea what to expect in the real lab. Some of the materials are a
little out of dated though, but oeverall, it's a very good source and
definitely helped me a lot.
(3). Lots of reading and digesting. Classical books and also CCO
(4). This group: I very much spent two full days just checking out the
archives in this list and learned a lot from the posts and answers. I am
so glad that I found this list and be part of it. Lots of jades in the
archive if you look really carefully!
(5). I do not have a home lab, but my company provided couple of 2500s, I
practiced most of the OSPF/BGP stuff using these equpments. By practicing
on these routers, I really improved my speed of typing and feel very
confident about the core stuff.
well, I should say this is really a very painful two days, but also very
rewardable. I am glad it's finally over. Now time for relaxing...
Thank you all for your intelligent posts on this list and good luck to
everyone who is still studying hard for it. Like everything in this world,
it you truly believe in yourself, you are already a winner!
