Leah,
My understanding is that you don't need any of "pvc 0/5 q" and "pvc 0/16
ilmi" if you are doing PVC and you know VP/VC pair. However as the example
shows - you need pvc 0/16 ilmi (not qsaal though) if you don't know your
VP/VC pair and using pvc discovery. After you have the VP/VC pair you can
remove pvc 0/16 and configure your pvc with found VP/VC pair. I guess ATM
switch and your ATM card must support this feature. It may be handy if you
are asked to configure PVC and not given PVC parameters (VP/VC).
My ATM knowledge is limited so somebody correct me please if I am off
track.
