I don't know much about it, but Cisco TAC recommended using it in
conjunction with dial-up and OSPF demand circuits. This keeps the
interface from hopping up and down. I have found that if a virtual link
traverses the dial-up, the link will hop up and down anyway, so you have
to configure an access list and apply to the dialer-list so the virtual
link traffic isn't interesting.
