This does work. You can run the Catalyst 3900 software on the Olicom
8600, its the same switch. CDP, etc all work. Cisco bought the Olicom
8600 and re-branded it as Catalyst 3900.
I have a Olicom 8600, new in the box I am selling btw, $1500.00, which is
a really good deal.
Crossfire 8600 = Madge 8600 = Olicom 8600 = Catalyst 8600
