Use this command from global exec mode:
terminal escape-character
I will typically use ` as the escape character, but you can use a variety of
other characters; either the decimal representation of the character or a
control sequence. The decimal to ASCII character tranlation can be found at:

m
For example:
terminal escape-character 23
You can escape from the session by typing Ctrl-W followed by x

Subject: Term Serv escape sequence
Dear Group,
I have the following setup:
r1
|
|(ethernet)
|
2509 term-serv
|
|(async)
|
r2
When I telnet from r1 into a 2509 acting as a terminal server, reverse
telnet into r2, login, then do a 'cntl+shift+6+x', I'll escape back to r1.
Does anybody konw what's the proper sequence to escape back to the terminal
server instead? Thanks,
