Actually, you should be able to figure this one out quite easily.

An odd number has the last bit to the right set at 1 ( one )

An even number has the last bit to the right set at 0 ( zero )

5 = odd = 0000 0101
4 = even = 0000 0100

this is always the case.

Subject: Lost Email on Access List

Hi Gang,

I have been trying to find the thread on the archives where somebody gave an
example/challenge on filtering out even and odd networks using extended
access list. I lost my copy when I cleaned out my mailbox. I figured I
have time to fool around with this but I couldn't find the example.

Can somebody email me one of the a copy or tell me what was the title so I
can find it in the archives.

Thanks...

stanford
