1)You should read up on the type of bit rates there are. It depends on what
you are trying to accomplish.

2)I highly doubt that the lab will be that exact in it's wording. You will
have to know whether to use a backup interface, demand circuit, dialer
watch, etc in order to meet the requirement specfied by the lab book.

3)Again, what do you want to accomplish? If you want to pick up the phone
and have it ring the other phone, then you do PLAR. If not, don't use PLAR
and specify the digits needed to be dialed for the other phone. If you have
a lab with the specified equipment, do both. It doesn't hurt to test it
both ways.
