Balanced uses two BNC connectors to accept the E1 line and unbalanced uses
an RJ-45 connector. Some cards/DSUs have both connectors but some only have
one or the other. You need to make sure if you have one or the other that
the Telco gives you that kind of interface.

My experience is that they don't give you either. They will give you an
X.21 connector that you just connect to your router. Your mileage may vary.
