I usually assign loopback interfaces addresses from the same subnet. For exam
ple 172.16.1.1/32 for router 1, 172.16.1.2/32 for router 2, etc.
Several recent questions on this list have made me rethink that position. May
be I should use addresses like 172.16.1.1/32, 172.16.2.2, 172.16.3.3, etc in or
der make summarization using the area range command more useful.
Any thoughts on which loopback strategy to use in a lab environment? In a prod
uct network I'm not worried about host routes generated by loopbacks
