Both Routers are using the same 133.2.x.x Network
Router1->s0=133.2.10.1/27 mask: Ospf Area 0)
|
s1(IGRP s1=133.2.2.1/24)
|
|
|
|s0=133.2.2.2/24
Router2(IGRP)
IGRP Mutual Redistribution with OSPF: In order for Router 2 to ping any and
all non /24 networks in the OSPF cloud there are only 3 ways I know of that
this can be accomplished. In particular I am concerned with the Directly
connected S0 with a /27 mask.
1) Default network advertisded by Router 1 to Router 2
2) IP route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 on Router 2
3) Policy routing--set ip hext hop or default interface)
Even if you try an Area 0 summary for the subnet on this S0 interface, the
directly connected route will be the one that is used in the Redistribution
to IGRP because of the Better admin distance on a C route (And IGRP of
course will ignore this route)
Does any one know of any other way to get Router 2 to ping the /27 interface
on Router 1 other then the 3 ways I have listed?
Thanks,
Bill
