ISL Encapsulation & 2651's

For what it's worth-
I had a hard time getting subinterfaces configured on my 2651, when I
entered command encapsulation isl 1,
it didn't like the encap argument.
If I tried to add an ip to the sub-int, it gave me a long winded message
about vlans etc.
I have seen the posts that explain IP+ image is neccessary for ISL, but I
didn't have enough flash or memory for ip+.
However, the IP/IPX/AT IOS does work, and didn't require any more mem/flash
than IP.
Perhaps more people have had this problem.
Cheers
Jason
