Hi all-
I have two questions concerning Fatkid Lab 350 - Catalyst switching:
1. The lab asks you to configure the switch to be come the root bridge for
VLAN 2. The solution
says to use the 'set spantree priority 1 2' command. My question is,
wouldn't it have been better
to give it a priority of 0 rather than 1 (to FORCE it to become the root),
and also, couldn't we have
used the 'set spantree root 2' command, rather than playing around with
priorities?
2. The lab asks you set up port 2/12 for SPAN to analyze ports 2/4 and 2/8.
It mentions that there
are 2 ways to do this, but only one does exactly what is asked for. The
author uses the command
'set span 2/4,2/8 2/12 both'. What's the 'other' way?
