Percentage option is only supported on specific modules and affects the
whole module. Even though you set it for a port when do sh port broadcast it
will be set for every port on a module. If want to set it to a port use
packets per second. If given average packet size and your port is 10 or 100
Mbps figure out how many packets is 100% and then take 20% out of that
number.

My scenario is that I want to limit broadcasts on a
port on the Catalyst. Assume I don't want broadcast
to consume any more than 20%. I know I can do a:
set port broadcast 2/1 20%
But what if I'm given an average size of the ethernet
packet. Assume 750 bytes. How would I figure this
out?
