- Ctrl-C works in both revisions of IOS as an answer
  to the setup prompt. (grin)

- Should anyone have questions regarding the SolutionLabs
materials - or their content, feel free to email me at

One small "gotcha" I have now learned.

I have never used a terminal server before yesterday. The racks I am now
using have the TS pre-configured.

Open a connection to a router. You get the message that the connection is
open - then nothing - no prompt - nothing.

Habit - hit the enter key

Result - enter the configuration dialogue - big waste of time

Solution - when you get the blank screen - enter the word "no" then hit
"enter"

The default for the configuration dialogue has changed in 12.x In earlier
versions the default is "yes" In 12.x the default is "no"

Wonder why it took Cisco so long to make the change?

Chuck

Actually the other thing is that I have not seen any labs scenerio that
demostrate any issues with using different versions of IOS.. I'm pretty sure
this will be one of the issues in the actual lab since there has been quite
significant changes in the defaults in IOS 12.x . I have also noticed
changes in the BGP behaviors in IOS 12.x compare to 11.x . I heard that OSPF
has the same problem although I have not verify...
