Failure at RTP

All,

I was hoping to share with you all my new four digit number, but it
was not meant to be. I just missed being able to move onto day 2. There
are a few major Cisco technologies that I don't ever work with - ATM, token
ring/bridging/dlsw, and ISDN. I played with them briefly on VLABs, so I
figured I knew enough to get through them. Nope. If I can offer any
advice, make sure you've got lots of hands on experience with the popular IP
protocols, the unpopular IP protocols, and routing with all of them over
dialup. As far as what was on the test, I can't tell you exactly what.
Let's just say that there's a lot of variety between what people get. A
particular routing protocol that I spent a ton of time learning (and is
discussed quite frequently on this list) wasn't on my day 1, but other
people had it. I'm kind of curious what the other available labs look like.
Had mine been more of this, and less of that, I'd have made it to day 2. Oh
well, I guess that's why there's a 15% pass rate. I guess I'll be tracking
down some token ring routers and an ISDN simulator in the near future. Any
for sale? My only hope is that my beloved Raiders kick some Raven ass
tomorrow, so that the weekend won't be a total loss. That's all for now,
Ferris Buehlers Day Off in on right now. Just what I needed...
