Try adding

Bridge 1 protocol IEEE
bridge 1 route IP (enable BVI to accept & route IP from Bridge
Group)

The W/S default G/W should be the BVI address.

Subject: (Q) IRB problem

Hi all,

I am trying to configure IRB. I have a NT workstation connected to the
bridge interface (e2/2). The workstation ip address is 12.0.0.5/8.
When I try to ping from the router to the w/s I got the following
error (deb arp). I can see that the icmp packet reach the w/s and the
w/s tries to arp for the ip address 12.0.0.1, but it never got any
reply.

What should be the w/s default gateway setting ?

Plese help. Thanks.

Regards,
