Hi all,

I added the ppp authentication chap under the BRi0 with the same results. I
also
removed ip ospf demand-circuit.

I am getting the following messages repeat and repeat at the console:

8:26:26: %DIALER-6-UNBIND: Interface BRI0:1 unbound from profile Dialer0
18:26:36: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI0:1, changed state to up
18:26:36: %DIALER-6-BIND: Interface BRI0:1 bound to profile Dialer0
18:26:36: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI0:1, changed state to down
18:26:36: %DIALER-6-UNBIND: Interface BRI0:1 unbound from profile Dialer0
18:26:46: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI0:1, changed state to up
18:26:46: %DIALER-6-BIND: Interface BRI0:1 bound to profile Dialer0
18:26:46: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI0:1, changed state to down
18:26:46: %DIALER-6-UNBIND: Interface BRI0:1 unbound from profile Dialer0
18:26:56: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI0:1, changed state to up
18:26:56: %DIALER-6-BIND: Interface BRI0:1 bound to profile Dialer0
18:26:56: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface BRI0:1, changed state to down
18:26:56: %DIALER-6-UNBIND: Interface BRI0:1 unbound from profile Dialer0

Since they correspond to ospf hellos every 10 seconds (verified with a
debug ip packet)

When I ping - the ip (170.100.68.1) on the other side I get encapsulation
failed.

any ideas on how to debug.

Julie Ann
