Just got through reading RFC 1256 ( ICMP Router discovery Messages )
I set up a little test on a couple of my routers, just to look at what
happens when IRDP is configured.
Unfortunately, I was unable to see any activity via any debug commands I
could find.
deb ip packet - no help - i.e. no activity ( other than routing protocol
activity )
deb ip icmp - no help - i.e. no activity
deb ip mpacket 224.0.0.2 ( all routers group ) - no activity
to be fair, deb ip mpacket 224.0.0.10 does not show any activity for eigrp
either.
The doc cd claims that the deb ip mpacket will show multicast activity, but
I sure don't see it.
Any thoughts?
