Hello,
This is probably going to seem like a stupid question: but here =
goes......
If I have a Router with 3 Interfaces, one TR, one Ethernet and a Serial.
I am running IP on the Router on all Interfaces. The Serial (doesn't =
have to Serial, just for the question) is connected to other Routers =
running some IGP. If for whatever reasons source-route bridging in on =
the TR and SR/ TLB is configured between the Ethernet and =
TR...........Do I not need CRB or IRB for this to function =
properly.......
For instance if I wanted and IP packet to be bridged on the Ethernet and =
Routed on the Serial I would need IRB right........the reason I ask if =
that in any of the solutions I have seen for this scenario, CRB/ IRB are =
never configured. In the Lab situation, you may have full ip routing on =
all Interfaces. Then comes a Bridging question, relative to the =
sceanario I have described and you configure SR/ TLB betweent the =
Ethernet and the TR.....is this going to work..............., the IP =
routing will still work, but because the Token ring, or Bridging is =
never properly tested I am wondering does it need to be =
configured.......
Any thoughts...?
Damien
