hi,
if the switch have cgmp open, but a router have not open the cgmp, the router can
still receive and send multicast?because no switch, could you try it and tell m
e the answer?

------(e1)r1(e0)-----------cat--------------(e0)r2(e1)----------
r1: int e 1
       ip add 10.0.1.1 255.255.255.0
       ip pim dense-mode
      ip igmp join-group 239.1.1.1
    int e 0
       ip add 20.0.1.1 255.255.255.0
       ip pim dense-mode
       ip cgmp enable

cat : set cgmp enable

r2: int e 0
       ip add 20.0.1.2 255.255.255.0
ip pim dense-mode ----------------------->>but r2 have not open cgmp
    int e 1
       ip add 30.0.1.1 255.255.255.0
       ip pim dense-mode
        ip igmp join-group 239.2.2.2
the igp between r1 and r2 is any,so r1 and r2 have all the route.

question: can r2 ping 239.1.1.1? can r1 ping 239.2.2.2?

TIA
