Distance Vector vs Link State

Hey all -

I'm struggling with the convergence of these two technologies. I think I
understand it, but I'm not able to get it to work properly. (I apologize if
this has been discussed before)

Here's a scenario:

OSPF IGRP
                                                /24
/24 r5 -------------/28----------------r4 /24
                                               /28

Now we see that when we mutually redistribute, the /28 between r4 and r5
doesn't let r4 receive r5's /24 routes and....
r5 doesn't see r4's /24 routes.

What are the remedies?

I appreciate any assistance.
