Explorers use a DSAP of 00 and a SSAP of xx
e.g. SNA:
0004
0008
000C
The filter 0x0000 0x0D0D covers all explorers and SNA traffic with 04, 08
and 0C.
However, would 0x0000 0x0C0D be more correct????
The possible combinations are:
0004
0005
0404
0405
0008
0009
0808
0809
000C
000D
0C0C
0C0D
The 0C0D mask covers these perfectly - the 0D0D allows for extra
combinations.

Subject: Explorer Filtering........
Hello,
Does anyone know the SAP for Explorer frames both NetBIOS and SNA. All =
the lists I have seen only mention all the obvious SNA and NetBIOS =
types........04 08 0C F0 etc......If I was asked to filter all SNA =
Explorers, do I just gamble and filter on all SNA....e.g.=20
access-list 200 permit 0x0000 0x0D0D
Does anyone know a resource where I can get all the SAP types (SNA, =
NetBIOS), all the specifics that is ? I have tried Caslows, DLSW (Tam =
Nam Kee) and CCO but with no success.......
Thanks
Damien
