DLSW defaults

Can someone please explain the difference between prom-peer-defaults and
peer-on-demand-defaults??

In the context of a dlsw group peer wanting to filter outgoing packets so
only NETBIOS (0xF0F0 mask 0x0101) will bring up the dynamic border peer...

As per CCO :
A peer-on-demand peer is a non-configured remote-peer that was connected
because of an LLC2 session established through a border peer DLSw+ network.

A prom-peer is a peer not configured as a remote-peer on this DLSw+ device,
but which initiated a peer connection which was accepted because promiscuous
peering was enabled.

Which would you use?

When an unconfigured remote peer connects to the local group peer, it is
both a prom-peer that was not configured as a static remote AND an
unconfigured remote-peer that was established due to LLC2 packets....

???

cheers,

4 days..

Simon
