I flew in from EWR (Newark, NJ) for just $130 round-trip (make sure to have
proof of citizenship; i.e.- birth certificate, passport, driver's license,
green card, etc.). Lord Nelson ranges from $99-$120CAD compared to Radisson
or Sheraton of $130-$180CAD. Sheraton and Lord Nelson have parking.
Sheraton tags another $10CAD per day to your bill though for parking. I
didn't inquire about parking at Lord Nelson's. Radisson has high-speed
access. Lord Nelson's rooms are small with antique(OLD) fixtures but
decent. But it does look pricey because of the classic antiques. Everything
is no more than 15-20 minute walking distance. Beware of a strangers who
say that they're not bums and are ashamed to ask for money and are willing
to give you their watch for just $2. And make sure to exchange your
currency at a bank. Most places will give 25-30 cents/dollar. The one
muffin place in the mall behind the TARA building was trying to give me a
1-to-1 exchange rate after giving him $20US for a muffin. That would have
been a $10CAD muffin. The cigar place behind the building (self-proclaimed
as the friendliest) tried to pawn off some dry cigars! So don't be a sucker
or try not to look like one!>:-p
