A few general GTS and FRTS questions.
When specifying GTS on an interface, we are specifying when to
start enforcing a policy according to the parameters we set. So if we
set the rate to 1M on a ethernet, we start queueing packets for that
interface once that rate is met. Before then we are not shaping, is
that right?
With GTS, we are using WFQ so no queue configuration is neccessary.
If we use GTS specifying an access-list, we are only enforcing
rate limits on the type of traffic specified by the list. All other
traffic is not affected by the GTS.
If we just do GTS on the interface, all packets are affected. Are
these statements correct?
Next FRTS. Similar questions. How is a PQ or CQ used with FRTS I
see that we use map-class statement to set rate and apply the queues.
How do the rates and queues interact? Is the queue used once the rate
is met or exceeded? Thanks!
