The DSL stuff isn't that hard if you know ATM. Cisco only supports PPPoA
and PPPoE which you can find on CCO. You might want to read up on how to
enable a SSG on the 6400. If you have any DSL questions please feel free to
email me. I used to be on Cisco's DSL design team.

Well... the working and playing is what's going to work best... A few
things to keep in mind:
1. The 5200 is just like a 2500 router with modems... So if you have a
3600 with mica modems, you can accomplish the same tasks without difficulty.
2. The TACACS/RADIUS stuff is unix-based, from what I hear. So you'll have
to have some clue how to work and operate/edit the files on a unix machine.
Icky, but required.
3. I'm not sure what'll happen with the PIX. the MCNS notes should help
you with that. If it's a new version of software on the PIX, then you can
fully implement "normal" access lists.
4. The cable/DSL stuff, I have NO idea how to adequately prep for. :)
My ISP-Dial date is Feb 26/27, 2001... It'll be entertaining!

Hi guys,
Yep, it's the funny season again - another person going for the ISP/Dial
exam.
Now I know this has been asked before (and yes, I have read EVERYTHING in
the archives along these lines), but how should I go about my ISP Dial prep?
I'm planning the following (please feel free to recommend what I should
add/modify):
1. Trawl through IOS Dial Solutions & configure + play around with
everything, say three times.
2. Trawl through the Managing Cisco Network Security course notes &
configure (got the notes, never attended the course).
(It says in the topic list on the web site that Unix TACACS/Radius boxes are
involved - would prep using NT CiscoSecure be 'enough').
3. Eeerrr......this is where I'm a little stuck......
Problem: I need cable / DSL
Solution: Gonna try sponging rack time from my friendly local Cisco
office (Anybody out there work at Stockley Park,UK?)
Problem: Got no 5300s (& fat chance of being able to afford them too).
Solution: Buy remote rack time from some lucky person out there who has
5200s / buy my own (ooohhh...yet mooore expenditure).
Problem: Got no PIX either
Solution: See above.
Has anybody done this lab recently? - ANY and ALL advice GREATLY
appreciated.
(I'm number 21 on the waiting list to do the lab in Brussels).
Thanks very much again in advance,
Mark
