Actually, it won't work if the IP address is right on the router
interface...I ran into this problem a few weeks ago (I had the address right
on the ATM interface)...Both ends of the point-to-point vc must be
performing the same operation (routing or bridging)...Since the CAT is
bridging traffic from the backplane to the virtual circuit, the other end of
the VC (the router interface) must be bridged as well.
