The fact that the IOS bridging engine doesn't interact with loopback
interfaces is a pain! in the 2 days of my festival of "bridging and
SNA"(tm) I've found wide varations in bridging behaivour between different
IOS releases. makes it a hassle to test your configs. don't know if it's
you or the IOS hehe.

This isn't possible on loopbacks and virtual
tokenrings either (and some other stuff). The reason
why (my opinion here) is there probably isn't a big
enough demand/reason for this in the "real world". I
can see where it would be nice for us perhaps.
Maybe this should be added to the FUNKY IOS train :)
