Yes. I tested ssh on a 2514 for a while. The processor in the 2500 is not
adequate for ssh and performed horribly. Even on a medium key of 768 the
keygen and logging in would push the router to 99.9% for a few
minutes. During this time EIGRP adjacencies were dropped and you could not
get into the router while the key was being generated and processed.

There is ssh for every platform. At the time I was using 12.0.9S I
believe. You can try 12.1.3S? for ssh support as well.
