In order to set the labs/equipment up and grade your work, I would think
they would know a little more than a few commands on a list. I would think
grading a test is a little trickier than taking the test, you've got to
figure out how the candidate has approached a problem and whether that is
deemed as correct. I wouldn't want the job.

I don't think proctors dont really need to be CCIE's they have a list of
commands they type in and compare the responce to the expected results. If
you they dont get the responce listed then its wrong. That way the lab
isn't
as subjective even though the proctors still have some flexability. Also, it
doesn't tkae a CCIE to say, "I can't answer that you have to figure that out
on your own."

they
need to open up more testing centers...also, i heard that most of the
proctors
are not ccie themselves - if that's true, man, whats up w/ that!!?? timur

I'm also very frustrated when it comes to scheduling my 2nd attempt. I even
thought about flying 12 hours to Sao Paulo just because they have earlier
dates open. It's not very fair, I think, when you can't even schedule to be
tested without first waiting for 4 months! I don't mind failing the exam,
but I want to fail it whenever I feel like to! :)
It does appear that most people have already taken the exam at least once.
That means the waiting list is going to get longer and longer because the
number of people retaking the exam is growing.

I'm sorry guys. It was supposed to a be a joke , because of all the
late dates people are trying to swap out. I don't want to cause any
confusion though. I think the lab is scheduling for Jan now as far as I can
tell. BTW, anyone know the recent for the recent bump up in wait time?

Wow!! Is Halifax secduling for May already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I booked my CCIE 3 weeks ago and could only get jan the 8th in Halifax so I
went for SJ on Dec 11th, maybe I should book my second attempt now! This
must be an attempt by Cisco to keep the numbers down as no way can 4 months
worth of people book the lab in 3 weeks. Good luck finding a swap
