I totally agree with you Larry.

My problem is that I don't have possibility in trying this issue.

There was a track two weeks ago and Kenny Sallee post some
configs and show lane client working without LECS, but John wasn't
able to get LANE working without buliding a LECS.

My concern is that in Kenny configs we don't know where the
server is configured, and I think that perhaps Cisco LANE
Server (LES) Implementation needs A LECS (Configuration Seerver)
for work. All this supossing that the post below from Mathew is
accurate.

As you can see in LE Server ATM0.3, LECS used is LECs
ATM well-known address, and I'm not sure if The Cisco LES
is fully operational without its VC connection with the LECS.
Also we have that "Master/Backup: Backup", perhaps there is another LES
for this ELAN?????, or when you have no LECS the LES, because of
the Cisco SSRP thinks that it is the Server Backup for the ELAN
and consequently it doesn't answer Client Requests.

besides in LE Client ATM0.3
"Last Fail Reason: Timeout on join request"
I think that this means LEC trying to join to the LES nsap address
but it doesn't answer.

Summarizing Larry, can you confirm:

Are your LES BUS in a Cisco Device?
if yes, Can you post your LES BUS configs without LECS (Configuration server)?

Alejandro
