Yes, I wear it in public. I've had mine about 2 years, and wear it all the
time during colder months. It is not butter-soft leather, it's true, and
if that's what you're expecting you will be disappointed. But it is tough
and warm. I've had a lot of nice comments on it from people in all walks
of life.
