EIGRP and snapshot routing

Can EIGRP be supported by snapshoting routing? I was told that it can't.
Why??? Is it because EIGRP is just a distance vector protocol?

So what kinds of routing and routed protocols can be supported by snapshot?
Like IP, IPX, OSPF, etc???
