If you want to change the cost of only one interface but do not want to use 'ip
ospf cost', then use the 'bandwidth' interface configuration command.

ospf auto-cost reference-bandwidth by default is 100 megs...but its gonna
affect all interface costs on that router...if u have multiple routers on
the same lan with 2 diff auto ref bandwidths..its not gonna be clean ...Why
not just use ip ospf cost per interface ? What specific problem are you
facing ?

Subject: Cost & ospf
Does anybody have a sample config where they modified ospf cost without
using "ip ospf cost" command. I know it has to do with bandwidth
manipulation ie "ospf auto-cost reference-bandwidth xxx" where xxx is
bandwidth value. Please help.
