area range command

   Hey everyone,

   Will the area range command summarize external routes as well? i have
   a network with multiple subnets, some of the subnets are being
   redistributed from eigrp into ospf. on the ABR i used the area range
   command, but the routes tagged as external are still being sent into
   the backbone. any ideas?
