Good answer but my scenario is a little different. The IBGP route that does
not get redistributed doesn't exist in the IGP routing table of the
redistributing router. (clear as mud?) Check this out
R1----R2--------R3
R1 and R2 are IBGP peers.
R1 adverstises network 200.100.1.0/24
R2 redistributes BGP into RIP (or any IGP)
All EBGP routes get redistributed, but not the IBGP.
200.100.1.0 is learned by R2 ONLY by BGP, no IGP routing is used.
