I got the demo from the CD to work :

http://127.0.0.1:8080/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/np1_c/1cprt2/
1cipadr.htm#xtocid2971680

for IP over multi-point tunnels - but I'm buggered if I can get IPX to work.

I've tried it on HDLC, Frame, multi-link tunnel....

RTRB(config-if)#ipx nhrp nhs aa.0010.1234.5678 ?
N.H.H.H IPX network served by this NHS

RTRB(config-if)#ipx nhrp nhs aa.0010.1234.5678 BB

RTRB(config-if)#ipx nhrp nhs aa.0010.1234.5678 BB?
N.H.H.H

RTRB(config-if)#ipx nhrp nhs aa.0010.1234.5678 BB ?

Maybe I need ATM and/or more than 11.3T ??

 Hi Simon,

Are u cramming every feature of IOS for the exam ? -) I am working on IPSEC
right now ...I'll send u my config later tomorrow. R u saying i should
learn NHRP also for the labs ? Mine is on wednesday ..Lets see how it
goes..I am skipping quite a bit due to time constraints.

Do u have any sample configs for ATM ?

Thanks .

Cheers,Padhu

Scott, thanks for the reply. That helps a ot, and I'm going toplay
with
it some. I'm going over all the 12.1 docs and trying to configure
evreything
and understand most of it.
On my previous attempt, I had a topic that I didn't totally
understand
smack in the middle of my network and it sunk my whole effort.
Granted, it wasn't quite as obscure as NHRP, but I have nightmares
of
getting in there and seeing "configure multipoint tunnels using NHRP
between
r2,r3 and r4" and they ain't gonna get me like that twice, at least if I
can
help it!
