Can you use Policy Routing to filter OSPF Routes based on Tags or just
Destintation IP .........
I have tried to filter with Policy Routing and had no joy? The only
thing I can get to work is distribute lists....? Even using Distribute
lists. For example, if I filter on inbound Routes on an Interface, the
Route that I deny for example is not entered into the local Routing
Table as I would expect, yet the LSA is still in the database. The
LSA for the denied Route is still forwarded to all other Neighbors !
Therefore the Route appears in there tables.
What I was trying to do is redistribute ASBR Summary Externals into
the OSPF Domain at some transit point. I wanted to filter based on Tag
or Destintation IP. If I filter at the redistribution point, it will
probably work as the deny statements are interpreted differently for
policy and redistribution....but this is not what I looking to
acheive........
I have tried using distribute lists for the same purpose on the
out going interface using the following "distribute-list 5 out ospf 1"
This appears to have no affect at all.
The Goal of my Labs is to define all the methods of policying/
filtering and redistribution methods I can use with OSPF.
Any advice greatly appreciated..
